The P420 is a heavy-duty, rugged true condenser microphone built to the same strict quality standards as all other AKG products. Designed on the basis of AKG's decades of knowhow and feedback from sound engineers around the world using AKG studio microphones every day, this general-purpose 1" dual large-diaphragm microphone brings AKG studio quality to the worlds of recording, live sound, and broadcasting.Features
- Selectable polar patternsThe microphone's transducer uses a dual diaphragm. This sophisticated technology allows you to select the optimum polar pattern (cardioid, omnidirectional, or figure eight) for every application.
- Gold-sputtered diaphragmThe diaphragm is made of a plastic foil that is gold-sputtered on one side only to prevent shorting to the back electrode even at extremely high sound pressure levels.
- All-metal bodyThe all-metal body adds to the rejection of RF interference so you can use the microphone near transmitter stations and along with wireless microphones or other communications equipment. The extremely rugged, heavy body and sturdy front grill protect the microphone from damage from tough handling on stage.
- High headroom, minimum distortionCapable of handling sound pressure levels up to 155 dB without introducing perceptible distortion and built to resist high temperatures and humidity, the microphone will give excellent results in a wide range of applications
- Polar pattern selectorSelector 1 on the microphone front sets the microphone polar pattern to cardioid, omnidirectional, or figure eight
- Switchable preattenuation padSwitch on the microphone front lets you increase the headroom by 20 dB for distortionfree close-in recording. The preattenuation pad prevents the microphone's output level, particularly at low frequencies, from overloading the miniature transformers used in many mixer input stages, etc.
- Bass cut filterSwitch on the microphone front further reduces low-end distortion caused by footfall or wind noise, etc. The filter also minimizes the proximity effect that close-in miking from less than 4 inches causes in any unidirectional microphone. The filter rolls off at 6 dB/octave (P120) or at 12 dB/octave (P220) from 300 Hz downward.

All our stock is held in local warehouses in the United States.
Layawayland will usually dispatch your goods within 7 - 10 business days of completing your layaway payments.
This time frame factors in the confirmation of the layaway order include your payment method, processing and dispatch from the warehouse and the transport of the items via couriers. The 'In Stock ' status on our website can mean the stock is either in our warehouse, or available with our supplier.
Whilst we endeavour to get items delivered to you as soon as possible we do, however, need to allow that 7 - 10 business day window to accommodate the processes above.
Delivery tracking details will be emailed to the email address on the account as soon as they are known. Your goods must be delivered to the delivery address as shown on your initial order.
Deliveries require a signature on delivery and if no one is at the property to sign for the package a calling card will be left by the driver with details of how to arrange redelivery or collection.
If their are multiple items on your order, you may receive multiple deliveries shipped by multiple couriers since items may be sent from different warehouse locations.
Large/bulky items (eg furniture and whitegoods) may take longer to deliver and may also incur an additional freight fee. If an additional freight fee is expected for your order you will be contacted via email after the order has been successfully placed.
Returns
We guarantee your satisfaction with all layawayland.com merchandise. If you receive damaged, defective, or incorrect item(s) from layawayland.com, you may return the product(s) within 30 days of delivery. When we receive the item(s) and verify the return of product(s), we will send you a replacement.
Please choose carefully when ordering on layawayland.com. Once you have ordered the item, you are committed to the purchase. Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are only entitled to a refund in the event of a major product failure - not if you simply change your mind or you later discover that you picked the wrong colour or the item doesn't fit.
