General Layaway Information

Layawayland.com is a traditional layaway retailer and does not deliver items until the payment plan has been successfully completed.

Regular payments are made weekly, biweekly or monthly as chosen by you at the time or ordering. Layaway periods range between 4 to 52 weekly payments, 4 to 26 biweekly payments, or 4 to 12 monthly payments.
Payment methods offered are credit card (Mastercard, Visa & American Express), direct debit or PayPal. The minimum periodic payment is $5 and maximum is $499.
If payment details need to be changed, please email our Customer Service Team or log into your online account to update.
Your goods will be ordered after your final payment and delivered to the delivery address as shown on your initial order within approximately 14 days from final payment date. If you need to change your delivery details please contact at your earliest convenience. Please be aware changes to delivery address should be made prior to the final payment being processed to ensure a successful update in our system. Layawayland.com cannot take responsibility for order shipped if the address information was incorrect.
Your order can be cancelled at any time before your final payment has been attempted, however a cancellation fee of $20 will apply.

 

Minimum Shopping Cart Grand Total

Please note the minimum Shopping Cart Grand Total that is required to check out on www.Layawayland.com is $50 after vouchers or discount coupons have been applied.

 

Christmas Delivery 2022

For orders where delivery is required prior to the 25th of December 2022, you must set the 'Final Payment Date' on the order to no later than the 15th of November 2022. Any orders with the Final Payment Date set after the 15th of November 2022 cannot be guaranteed delivered prior to the 25th of December 2022.

  

Future Price Guarantee

If you start a layaway order today, and the price of that product is lower when you finish your payment plan, we will provide you with a Layawayland.com Future Price Guarantee Discount Voucher for the difference in price. If, however, the price is higher at the end of the plan than it was when you placed your order, you will still only be charged the initial lower price. Please also note that this Future Price Guarantee Discount Voucher can only be used on new orders and not on existing orders. Layawayland.com has a minimum cart value of $50 after a voucher has been applied and the Future Price Guarantee Discount Voucher will expire 28 days from its issue date. The Future Price Guarantee Discount Voucher will have a minimum spend requirement that equals 4 times the face value of that voucher (i.e. if the Future Price Guarantee Discount Voucher value is $100, you will be required to spend at least $400 for that voucher to work). Any orders for Apple products are excluded from this price guarantee.  

 

Marketing

By placing an order and checking out of Layawayland.com, by default you agree to be subscribed to our customer database which will enable Layawayland.com to send account updates and marketing materials to you via email and text message from time to time. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email or text, or logging into your online account.

 

Availability

Layawayland.com will order your item from the supplier after the successful completion of your layaway payment plan. This may mean that from time to time particular stock may be out of stock or on lengthy back order. In instance like this Layawayland.com will provide you with your choice of (a) a full refund of the amount paid for the item, (b) a similar/upgraded item at no additional cost, if available, or (c) your choice of a different item from our catalogue at a similar price, if available.

 

Please note that currently Layawayland.com is unable to accept orders from, or ship orders to, those living in the District of Columbia.  Additionally, you must be at least 18 years of age to place a layaway with us.

 

Payments

A 5% to 10% deposit is required, and will be charged to your nominated payment method the following day. Once you have placed your order the first payment is required to be paid within 14 days of the order being placed. With subsequent payments occurring at the time intervals, you have selected. Automatic payments are processed by Layawayland.com at 12.01am on your selected payment day and will be debited from your selected payment method during that day (or next business day if the date is a bank holiday or weekend). If you wish to skip a payment please let us know before midday on the business day PRIOR to the scheduled payment. As payments are automated we cannot cancel them the day they are due.

 

Alterations to your payment plan can be made by logging into your Layawayland.com online account.

 

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your order at any time prior to the final payment.  If you cancel your order within 21 days of the date off your original order confirmation (Cooling off period) there will be no cancellation fee.  After the cooling off period, Layawayland.com will charge a cancellation fee as follows:

- Prior to your Final Payment Date, and providing that you have made no changes to your original Order Confirmation, a Cancellation fee of 6% of your order value (up to a maximum cancellation fee of $100) will be charged at the cancellation date. 

 

Refund Policy

Please note all refunds MUST be returned to the same account they were paid from.

Refunds may take a minimum of 5-7 business days to be back available in the account for spending.

  

Changes to Payment Plans

You can make changes to your payment plan via your account on our website. The maximum layaway payment period is 12 months. Please note changes to payment plans before a scheduled second payment or after a second last scheduled payment need to be done so via Customer Service, customerservice@layawayland.com


Paying orders off early

Please note that an 'Estimated Delivery Date' is set when you initially place your order, and we expect to deliver your order to you on or around that Estimated Delivery Date if you make all your payments successfully when they are due. If you pay your order off early it can take up to 21 days to delivery your order from your final payment date.


Failed Payments

If a scheduled payment fails we will notify you via email. If you wish to change your per payment amount, please log into your account, click on your order and click on adjust my payment plan button, or contact customer service.

If you miss 2 payments in a row your order will be suspended until we confirm everything is okay with the scheduled payments and payment method.

Please note that if your order is suspended the items on your order may be removed from allocation to your order until the next successful payment is processed. This may lead to the item/s that you ordered not being available for you at the end of your layaway plan. 

 

Bank Fees

If you have a payment declined by your financial institution, it may charge you a dishonored payment fee. Layawayland.com has no control over this and is not responsible for to this amount.

 

Chargeback policy

If you make a payment by credit or debit card, you agree not to file a chargeback with your financial institution without first contacting us to give us an opportunity to resolve your issue.  If you file a chargeback without attempting to resolve the issue with our customer service department first, then you agree to reimburse us for the costs we incur as a result of your chargeback, including, without limitation, any merchant chargeback fees, chargeback consultant fees, arbitration filing fees and costs, and reasonable attorneys’ fees and cost that we incur, regardless of how the chargeback is decided by your financial institution. 

 

Shipping Address Alterations

Your goods will be delivered to the delivery address as shown on your order within approximately 7-14 days from final payment date (excluding Christmas timeframe listed above and pre-order items not yet in stock).

If you need to change your delivery details please contact at your earliest convenience. Please be aware changes to delivery address need to be made prior to the final payment being processed to ensure a successful update in our system. Changes made after the final payment has been processed cannot be guaranteed as altered by our warehouse team and delivery partners and so Layawayland cannot take responsibility for a delayed or incorrectly delivered package in these instances.

A reminder email confirming the delivery address will be sent out 2 weeks prior to the original scheduled final payment date to prompt customers to check the recorded delivery address details including phone number. In some caases we will not be able to ship to a PO Box so it is best to have a physical address listed where a person will be avialble to sign fo the package/s.

 

Returns

Layawayland.com does not allow returns due to change of mind or incorrect purchase, please be careful when ordering to ensure your purchase is well thought out.

If goods have been damaged during shipping or are not as described, please contact us to arrange for a return and exchange or refund.

 

With our 30 Day Money Back Guarantee, if you receive damaged, defective or the incorrect item(s) from us, you may return the product(s) within 30 days of delivery at no cost to you. Simply contact our friendly customer service team via email and they can assist you further.

Once we receive the item(s) and verify the return of product(s), we will send you a replacement(s) or issue a full refund, including shipping and handling.

Disclaimer

Layawayland.com reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order if there is a pricing error or it is believed an incorrect total was achieved by way of technical glitch, and will notify the customer accordingly. Layawayland.com has the right to refuse a transaction in the unlikely case that there is a pricing error or cart error and prices are not shown as correct.
